Maria Chapin: Covid-19

Maria Chapin has mastered the art of non-referent abstracts that are entirely created in camera. This series of images conveys her great anxiety and concerns for her family during the pandemic, particularly with some of her children working in healthcare or other exposure risks. Her Covid-19 photographs are unusually aggressive, almost tortured, as Maria’s personal emotional expression of a silent and very effective killer virus.
